Fabbrica del Vapore

On Monday the Salone del Mobile (or rather the pre-showof the Salone) began, it’s really the coolest and eventful week of the city I live in. This year, due to compelling work commitments, I can only follow a few appointments of the Fuori Salone circuit, especially in the evening and with few trusted friends. The first stop was at the Urban Stories surrounded by the skyscrapers of the new center of Milan, Porta Nuova Varesine. Then we went to the inauguration of the new flagship Who’s Who designed by Fabio Novembre and to Brera to admire the bathroom/kitchen news by Salvatori and Boffi. At the end we went to the Fabbrica del Vapore in via Solferino for a great exhibition curated by Mendini on the independent production of young designers. Lunedì è iniziato i Salone del Mobile (o meglio il pre-salone), la settimana più cool e ricca di eventi che la mia città sia in grado di offrire. Quest’anno, causa impegni lavorativi impellenti, riuscirò a seguire solo pochi appuntamenti del circuito del Fuori Salone, soprattutto la sera e in compagnia di alcuni amici fidati. Prima tappa Urban Stories in mezzo ai grattacieli del nuovo centro di Milano, Porta Nuova Varesine. Poi di corsa per l’inaugurazione del nuovo monomarca Who’s Who firmato Fabio Novembre e in Brera per ammirare le novità bagno/cucina di Salvatori e Boffi, infine in via Solferino, alla Fabbrica del Vapore, per una grande mostra sulla produzione indipendente dei giovani designer curata da Mendini. Mi aspetta una lunga e intensa settimana all’insegna del design e della creatività vi lascio con alcune immagini…
