Bracciali Ops. Hi girls, today I’d like to tell you about a charity initiative which clearly shows how even fashion can take to heart the welfare of vulnerable people by helping to create a better and fairer world. I’m talking about the project that sees Opsobjects with the new bracelet Ooops! Trésor Limited Edition alongside the Veronesi Foundation and the Cesvi in the Women profile for Africa initiative, in order to combat cervical cancer in one of the areas of the world where this disease is still a plague, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Diagnosed at an advanced stage, the cervical cancer lets little hope in Africa. It would be enough a screening test, such as a simple smear test, carried out even once in life, to prevent cancer and halve mortality. But this is not the case in many African countries, where mass screening programs are not widespread due to poverty and lack of economic resources available to health services. With the Ooops! Trésor Gold Limited Edition bracelet, the Opsobjects Onlus will fund a year of training specialization of the Dr Cathy Mulumba, who works in the Kinshasa Provincial Hospital “Mama Yem” and is a key figure of the Women Profile for Africa project in quality of medical reference in reading diagnostic tests and as a figure able to follow the training of the local staff. The scientific update of Cathy Mulumba is the first step and the necessary condition so that the health of all women in the DRC could become soon a right as it is for us. The bracelet is very cute then, and it would be nice to add it into our Christmas wish-lists in order to contribute as women to the welfare of other less lucky women.
