Una settimana di eventi dedicata alla grande diva Valentina Cortese

Valentina Cortese. Eccoci, come ogni settembre, alla vigilia della settimana della moda milanese. La città improvvisamente si accende di luci e di colori in un frizzante e brulicante caos di modelle, stilisti, personaggi internazionali e addetti ai lavori che attraversa tutte le sue arterie: sfilate, party esclusivi, open day, ma anche tanti appuntamenti culturali che mostrano come la moda non cammini mai da sola, ma spesso a braccetto con l’arte. Tra questi spicca “Il teatro è di moda”, organizzata dal Teatro San Babila e dall’Associazione culturale “Profumo di Milano”, una settimana di spettacoli e eventi in onore di Valentina Cortese, attrice internazionale ormai novantenne, che con la sua arte ha valorizzato Milano e la cultura italiana nel mondo. Ultima diva rimasta, simbolo di stile e arte, Valentina Cortese è l’icona che meglio rappresenta il connubio tra moda e teatro: teatro come luogo di realtà, verità, autenticità. Valori che la moda vuole condividere e di cui la società sente il bisogno. La kermesse si apre il Il 16 settembre alle ore 19.00 durante la Vogue Fashion Night Out con l’allestimento nel foyer del Teatro San Babila della mostra fotografica “Valentina Cortese. La diva”, progetto di Elisabetta Invernici e Antonio Zanoletti realizzata da Edizioni EVI. Saranno esposte più di 30 immagini a colori e in bianco e nero che testimoniano l’eleganza e lo stile di questa grande attrice internazionale che ha interpretato la moda italiana nel mondo. Durante l’inaugurazione della mostra andrà in scena la performance “Light my Night” di Federico Sangalli, durante la quale sfilerà una collezione esclusiva, realizzata con un tessuto di organza percorso da fibra ottica che genera luce, un omaggio del mondo fashion alla star e al suo glamour. Il 17 settembre sarà la volta di “Le Divine”: uno spettacolo sulla vita di quattro Dive del ‘900: Wanda Osiris, Maria Callas, Marilyn Monroe e Marlene Dietrich. Mentre il 18 settembre ci sarà il recital di Valentina Cortese che interpreta “L’amore” di Giovanni Testori. Con questa esibizione teatrale la Cortese lancia un messaggio ai giovani testimoniando la sua costante energia e umiltà nel mettersi in gioco. Il 19 è prevista una serata dedicata agli anni ’80, con la proiezione del film “Via Montenapoleone” di Carlo Vanzina con Valentina Cortese, Carol Alt e Luca Barbareschi. Infine, il 20 settembre, andrà in scena un concerto del Conservatorio G. Verdi di Milano, un omaggio al grande direttore d’orchestra Victor De Sabata che avrà come ospite d’onore Valentina Cortese.

Valentina cortese. The Milan Fashion Week is about to begin. The city suddenly turns on its lights in a sparkling and bustling chaos of models, designers, international celebrities and experts that runs through all its arteries: fashion shows, exclusive parties, open days, but also many cultural events that show how fashion is never walking alone, but often hand in hand with art. Among them, “Il teatro è di moda”, organized by the Teatro San Babila and the cultural association “Profumo di Milano”, a week of shows and events in honor of Valentina Cortese, the international actress, now ninety, who with her style and art has enhanced Milan and the Italian culture in the world. Valentina Cortese is the icon that best represents the combination of fashion and theater: theater as a place of reality, truth and authenticity. Values that the fashion wants to share and that society feels the need. The festival opens on September 16 at 19.00 during the Vogue Fashion Night Out with the set up at the foyer of the Teatro San Babila of the photographic exhibition “Valentina Cortese. La Diva”, a project by Elizabeth Invernici and Antonio Zanoletti. More than 30 images will be exhibited, witnesses of the elegance and style of this great international actress. During the inauguration of the exhibition will be staged the performance “Light My Night” by Federico Sangalli, an exclusive fashion collection made with an organza fabric and fiber optic that generates light, a tribute to the star and to her glamor. On September 17, it will be the turn of “The Divine”: a show about the lives of four great women of the twentieth century: Wanda Osiris, Maria Callas, Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich. While on September 18 there will be a recital by Valentina Cortese who plays “L’Amore” by Giovanni Testori. With this theatrical exhibition Valentina Cortese sends a message to young people about her energy and her ability to still get in the game. On the 19, there will be a night dedicated to the 80s, with the screening of the film “Via Montenapoleone” directed by Carlo Vanzina with Valentina Cortese, Carol Alt and Luca Barbareschi. Finally, on September 20, a concert by the Conservatorio G. Verdi of Milan will stage, a tribute to the great conductor Victor De Sabata which will have Valentina Cortese as guest of honor.
