I would like to end the year with a good story, the one of the ethical Shea by René Furterer. For René Furterer, the ethical Shea is not only an active substance with great nutrient, restoring and revitalizing features, but it represents an opportunity to develop an ethical source of supply in order to produce a excellent quality Shea butter produced in the true African tradition – without solvent and additives, by simple mechanical pressure – ensuring at the same time a perfect traceability. This has been possible thanks to the collaboration with an entrepreneur from Burkina Faso, Nathalie Ouattara, a strong and courageous woman, founder of the company SotoKacc specialized in the production of Shea butter. Sure that this valuable product would offer employment opportunities to women in her country, but aware that her company could not develop properly without external funding, Nathalie did not hesitate to start her journey to Europe to raise awareness of her product. Laboratoires René Furterer have been taken this challenge and since 2007 have been working with the Sotokacc, providing women with training and knowledge in order to obtain an active substance with quality features at the height of their products. The result is a strong collaboration with this Burkina Faso women who are being challenged to learn new collecting and production techniques, in accordance with African tradition. Just to women who work in Sotokacc, to their love for their land and their labor, the exceptional and multifaceted artist Titouan Lamazou has dedicated an entire collection of works. Through sketches and watercolors, notes and photos, the artist tells a story of women and nature, a strong and beautiful story, offering a whole humanistic and aesthetic dimension to the key commitments of the ethical Shea project. Well girls, for next year I wish you to have a little bit of the courage and strength of Nathalie, this wonderful woman who has been able to realize a dream. Oggi vorrei chiudere l’anno con una bella storia, quella del Karité etico di René Furterer.
Per René Furterer, il Karité Etico non è solo un principio attivo con fantastiche caratteristiche nutrienti, ristrutturanti e rivitalizzanti, ma rappresenta l’occasione per sviluppare una fonte di approvvigionamento etica e finalizzata ad ottenere un burro di Karité di qualità eccellente, prodotto secondo la vera tradizione africana – senza solventi e senza additivi, attraverso la semplice pressione meccanica – ma assicurando al tempo stesso una perfetta tracciabilità. Questo è stato possibile grazie alla collaborazione con una imprenditrice del Burkina Faso, Nathalie Ouattara, una donna forte e coraggiosa, fondatrice della società SotoKacc per la produzione del burro di Karité. Sicura che questo prezioso prodotto avrebbe offerto possibilità di lavoro alle donne del suo Paese, ma consapevole che la sua impresa non avrebbe potuto svilupparsi adeguatamente senza finanziamenti esterni, Nathalie non ha esitato a mettersi in viaggio per l’Europa per far conoscere il suo prodotto. I Laboratoires René Furterer hanno subito accolto questa sfida e dal 2007 collaborano con la Sotokacc, fornendo loro formazione e conoscenze al fine di ottenere un principio attivo con caratteristiche qualitative all’altezza dei propri prodotti. Nasce così una collaborazione forte, che ha come protagoniste le donne di questa regione che si sono messe in discussione per imparare nuove tecniche di raccolta e produzione, nel rispetto della tradizione africana. Proprio alle donne che lavorano in Sotokacc, al loro amore per la loro terra e alla loro fatica Titouan Lamazou, artista eccezionale e poliedrico, ha voluto dedicare un’intera raccolta di opere. Attraverso schizzi ed acquarelli, note e foto, l’artista racconta una storia di donne e di natura, una storia forte e bella, offrendo tutta una dimensione umanistica ed estetica agli importanti impegni del progetto Karité Etico.
Ecco ragazze, per il prossimo anno vi auguro di avere un po’ del coraggio e della forza di Nathalie, di questa donna meravigliosa che è riuscita a realizzare un sogno. Cercate di realizzare i vostri e soprattutto vogliatevi bene! Buon anno!
