A few days ago I talked about the new book by Serge Lutens (here) released at the launch of the new fragrance La Fille de Berlin. The best way to describe this scent is to use the words of its creator: “I imagined a metal rose resting on the snow, but with a passional character. It is a rose full of thorns, it does not submit. Its fragrance soothes, stuns and surprises. This perfume is contradictory: strong and comforting at the same time“. And again: “The rose is a sumptuous flower, made of blood, night, snow and glory. It’s amazing, its violence is its beauty. This rose is a pure invention. It is a rose full of thorns, furious, spicy and chypre, with a touch of pepper, extremely persistent. La Fille de Berlin is a complex aroma that has nothing to do with a soliflore fragrance. ” That’s poetry!
Qualche giorno fa vi avevo parlato del libro del Serge Lutens (qui) uscito in occasione del lancio della nuova fragranza La Fille de Berlin. Per descrivere questo profumo il modo migliore è utilizzare le parole del suo creatore: «Ho immaginato una rosa di metallo che riposa sulla neve ma che ha il carattere della passione. È una rosa piena di spine, non si sottomette. La sua fragranza allevia, stordisce e sorprende. Questo profumo è contraddittorio: deciso e consolante al tempo stesso». E ancora: «La rosa è un fiore sontuoso, fatto di sangue, di notte, di neve e di gloria. È stupefacente, la sua violenza è la sua bellezza. Questa rosa è pura invenzione. È una rosa piena di spine, furiosa, speziata, cipriata, con un tocco di pepe, estremamente persistente. La Fille de Berlin è un profumo complesso che nulla ha a che vedere con una fragranza soliflore». Che poesia…
